Telling Their Stories, Produced & Directed by Nadya Mahdi through Tuesday Films , screened at The Lowry, Salford,Manchester on Sep 3rd at 5.30pm 2015 to raise the profile and fundraise for the charity The Greater Manchester Home-Starts, the film will be be broadcast on The Community Channel on 3rd November 2015 at 20.45 Following the screening, Home-Start Manchester was made charity of the Year by Manchester's Arndale centre, giving a significant boost to the charity's profile in the city. Nadya Mahdi's personal film about her grandmother's emigration from Ireland:screened in Connemara, Ireland on Saturday 30th August 2014 together with Curlew Theatre Company's play "Emigration Road". "It felt like I was bringing nanna home at last..7 years after she died." The film was also selected for screening at the Islington Exhibits Film Festival 2014 and later used as part of a lecture for students from the University of California on the on the "After the Empire" London programme on May 27th 2014.
